2019 MWKF Kendo Summer Camp and Promotion Test

PLEASE NOTE: All participants must be current members of the Midwest Kendo Federation / AUSKF. You must have paid your 2019-2020 dues in full. Please visit unitedstateskendo.com and check that you are a current member and your dues are up to date. If they are not, please pay them before completing this form.

Note: 6-dan and up are free
Adult: $75
Youth (17 and under): $50

Due to the limited number of dorm rooms available this year, we will implement a first come, first serve policy for these rooms. Double room is $80.

The camp organizers have blocked a few rooms off at Hotel Ignacio, which is within walking distance of SLU (3411 Olive St, St. Louis, MO 63103). Please call or e-mail to make reservations, mentioning MWKF Summer Camp. The contact is 314-977-4411 or by emailing Reservations@hotelignaciostl.com. Other options can be AirBnB or other surrounding hotels.

If not, you will need to pay $20 additional dollars for a late fee.

Note that all sensei 6 dan and above may waive the registration fee (but please register!)

Friday (7/26):

Afternoon and evening arrival.  Check-in time is 5:00pm to 8:00pm [Simon Recreation Center 3639 Laclede Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108]  8:00pm – 9:00pm will be at Griesedieck Hall lobby

Dinner on your own.

5:30 – 8:30 PM: Open practice

Saturday (7/27):

6:00 – 7:00 AM: Kata outdoors at quad N of Griesedieck Hall (Dorm)

7:00 – 9:00 AM: Breakfast at Grand Hall

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Kendo Summer Camp at Simon Recreation Center

12:00 – 2:00 PM: Lunch at Grand Hall

2:00 – 5:00 PM: Kendo Summer Camp at Simon Recreation Center

5:00 – 7:00 PM: Dinner at Grand Hall

Sunday (7/28):

6:00 – 7:00 AM: Kata outdoors at quad N of Griesedieck Hall (Dorm)

7:00 – 9:00 AM: Breakfast at Grand Hall

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Kendo Summer Camp at Simon Recreation Center

12:00 – 2:00 PM: Lunch at Grand Hall

1:30 PM: Promotion Test at Simon Recreation Center

Checkout by 5:00PM.  Do not leave anything in the dorm rooms.
